AI for tender clarification questions

TenderRender reads every tender document and suggests clarification questions for the buyer, with the reasoning and source location for each one.

TenderRender is an AI tool that suggests clarification questions for a public tender. It reads every tender document and turns unclear wording, contradictions and missing information into draft questions for the contracting authority. Each question says why you should ask it and, where the location is certain, which document and page it refers to. You decide which questions to submit.

How it works

  1. You add the tender documents to a project. The clarification scan starts by itself once the documents are processed.
  2. TenderRender reads everything: specifications, requirements, contract terms and annexes, including Excel annexes and their formulas.
  3. You get draft questions in four categories: Ambiguity, Contradiction, Tactical and Technical. Each question has a relevance (high or medium), a rationale and a reference to where it comes from.
  4. Your own knowledge counts too. Questions can also come from your Brain (your lasting company knowledge), from requirements you are not yet sure you meet, and from your own standard question list.
  5. You export the questions to Excel and submit them yourself through the buyer's platform.

What you get

  • Draft questions by category, with rationale and relevance.
  • The source location for each question: document and page. If the location is uncertain, the field stays blank rather than guessing.
  • A check for contradictions between documents and for formulas in Excel annexes.
  • Questions an earlier round of answers already settled are skipped.
  • Export to Excel.

Why not just ChatGPT?

A general chatbot does not read a long set of tender documents in full, so it misses contradictions between documents. It does not know your company, so it cannot tell which requirements you are unsure about. And it gives no source location per question, so you have to trace every question back yourself.

What TenderRender does not do

  • TenderRender does not send questions to the buyer. You submit them yourself through the tender platform.
  • Not every suggested question needs to be asked. A clarification question can also reveal your strategy to competitors; you decide.

Part of one platform

Clarification questions are one step in the same project where you also break down the tender documents, write your bid and review it against the award criteria. TenderRender works with Dutch, Belgian and German tenders.
